Information About Appointments

Do we Bulk Bill?

Yes, all age care, pension card holders (>65 years old) are bulk billed for GP consults. Health care card holders and other concession card holders are bulk billed for consultations and procedures are billed at a discounted rate. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) patients will also be bulk billed at our practice. Skin checks and any procedures incur a gap fee and may have a Medicare rebate.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are written only at the doctor’s discretion. We kindly ask that our patients ensure prescriptions do not run out. Repeat prescriptions are unable to be written if you have not attended the practice within the last 3 months. If you are eligible, you may be offered a Quick Consult appointment via the HotDocs online where you can request a repeat prescription and have the script sent to your phone or pharmacy (fees apply). If there are extenuating circumstances as to why you are unable to attend the practice to get a new prescription, a fee of $44 will apply and will need to be paid on the collection of your prescription.
Please note, antibiotics and authority prescriptions cannot be prescribed without consulting a doctor.

Do we do Skin Checks?

Yes, we do, we will map your skin and discuss if further appointments for any other treatments are needed.
Please Note: Regardless of whether regular screening is being performed or not, if you detect a changing or newly developing skin lesion or if you become concerned about any skin lesion, ensure that you have it checked by your doctor ASAP

Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?

Yes, you need an appointment. We do not accept walk-in appointments, but you can call and book for same-day appointments, subject to availability. We welcome new patients.
If you do attend the practice for a walk-in emergency appointment (fees apply) one of Drs will triage you and decide if we are able to manage this in our practice or call an ambulance. We recommend always calling 000 for any life threatening emergencies.

Notification Regarding Medical Test Results

Your doctor will inform you when they expect your results to arrive at the practice. If the doctor needs to discuss your results, you will receive a text message from us via HotDocs services. If there are no abnormalities with your test results, you will not receive a notification from the practice.

If you wish to follow up on your results, please call the practice on (07) 4933 3334. Our reception staff will advise if any further action is required. Additionally, we recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor to discuss any blood results, scans, X-rays, or urine tests.

We strongly encourage you to make an appointment with your treating doctor to discuss your results in a private and confidential setting.
